World Around Us Challenge - Week Beginning 4th May

 

This week we are going to be thinking about different types of clouds.

 

Go outside and look up at the sky.  Can you see different sizes and shapes of clouds?

Can you spot any of these clouds?

Cirrus clouds, Cumulus clouds, Stratus clouds?

Look at this picture to see what they look like.

Make a rain cloud

If you have all of these things in the house, you can try to make a rain cloud.

You will need:

  • some sort of vase or jar filled with water
  • shaving cream
  • liquid food coloring
  • an extra bowl to mix the colored rainwater

Follow this link to try out the experiment.  Remember to post some pictures if you are able to make your rain cloud.  Have fun!!!!
